Overview:

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After meeting your guide, you will be driven to Marangu Gate, where you start your trek. The hike to Mandara Hut is a shorter and more manageable trek, allowing you to experience Kilimanjaro’s rainforest environment. After your trek, you’ll return to Arusha and stay at the Senator Hotel.

Activities:

  • Pickup: Meet your guide at your hotel in Arusha.
  • Transfer: Drive to Marangu Gate.
  • Hiking: Trek from Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut.
  • Return: Drive back to Arusha and check in at the Senator Hotel.

Hiking Details:

  • Distance: 8 km
  • Duration: Approximately 4-5 hours
  • Altitude Gain: From 1,800 m to 2,700 m

Highlights:

  • Rainforest Trek: Walk through lush rainforest and observe local wildlife, including monkeys and birds.
  • Return to Comfort: After the hike, enjoy a restful night at the Senator Hotel.
